How to Join Outback Beds

Outback Beds New Membership Application Details

The applicant to Outback Beds shall:

1. Demonstrate their commitment to hospitality. Show the existing members how your business can compliment the Outback Beds network.
2. Show that they have been trading in their hospitality business for a minimum of 6 months.
3. Provide a current certificate of currency from their insurance company recognizing the hospitality business
4. Provide a copy of business name registration recognizing hospitality business name.
5. Show proof of authorised land use to conduct hospitality business ( ie Approved development application or change of land use from DIPNR or letter approving operation from DIPNR or letter of approval to operate from local government)
6. Provide map of property location and demonstrate adequate signage to property, indicating access modes to property ( ie 4wd only, all vehicles, airstrip on property & map co ordinates & airstrip details, proof of insurance cover on airstrip)
7. Attach to application copy of current advertising brochure or similar displaying photographs of property.
8. Provide level of AAAT rating ( if property is currently rated)
9. Provide email address, physical and postal address (if different), website details, phone ( inc mobile and fax details.)

The applicant to Outback Beds shall be prepared to:

1. Network with other members without bias, and refer guests both at point of contact, and physical arrival to other network properties.
2. Use the Outback Beds Logo on promotional material where possible ( logo will be supplied in email and digital format)
3. Have a regional awareness of other product, and make decisions with network fairness, rather than self focus.
4. Participate in all generic Outback Beds promotions, and share costs thereof.
5. Participate in relevant group promotions, and marketing opportunities, and share costs thereof.
6. Participate in group discussion either remotely by phone or email, or at face to face meetings.

Within 30 days of acceptance the new member shall:

1. Pay to the financial officer all fees for membership due (currently set at $110 incl GST p.a) with a minimum pro rata fee of $50 for new membership.
2. Provide a minimum of 100 copies of hard copy promotional material
( ie business card, brochure, postcard, flyer etc) to media & promotional officer.
3. Provide CD of digital images to media & promotional officer.
4. Provide Journalist briefing notes ( factual information) for use by Outback Beds, to media & promotional officer.
5. Liase with the web site manager, providing her with both written and photographic images to be uploaded onto the outback beds website.
