The Imperial Fine Accommodation was purchased in February
2005 by the husband and wife team of Bill Balding and Cathy
Dyer, residents of Broken Hill. Pauline Chatt, Bill’s
sister, is The Imperial’s manager and on-site host. Pauline
moved to Broken Hill to take on this role following a rewarding
teaching career which has taken her around Australia as well
as overseas, most recently, London. Pauline is The Imperial’s
on-site host and its principle resource. A friendly and outgoing
person, Pauline has found her niche following years of teaching
and counselling. She engages easily with guests and starts
building a relationship from the first phone call or email.
Not only has Pauline travelled and lived around the world,
including raising three children in Morocco, she is the eldest
of nine (and Bill is the youngest), with brothers and sisters
scattered widely.
These two points have lead to myriad points of commonality
with guests – we regularly test the six degrees of separation
theory!
Our room rate is $180.00AUD per night which includes breakfast.
Our corporate rate is $170.00AUD per night which includes
breakfast.
